Setup 1:00 PM | Advertised start time for vendors is 3:00 PM
Setup begins at 1:00 PM at Lansing Shuffle | Rotary Park on the banks of the Grand River
325 Riverfront Dr.
Lansing, MI 48912
PARKING - IS CLOSE BUT HAS ITS DETAILS
There’s a small loading zone on the south side of Lansing shuffle
There’s a small city of Lansing parking lot on the southwest side of Lansing Shuffle that has limited time for parking - they will ticket.
Across the street, there is a gated City of Lansing Parking lot that is $2 an hour with a daily maximum of $10. This is a full-time situation 7 days a week. There is also access underneath the Lansing Center which is south and southwest of Lansing Shuffle.
Do not park in the Lansing Shuffle parking lot adjacent to Lansing Shuffle on the east side of the building. If you park in the City of Lansing parking lot just west of Lansing Shuffle you will get towed when you reach their maximum time allotted.
Street parking is free after 6:00 PM. Michigan Avenue is a short jaunt south of Lansing Shuffle on the other side of the Lansing Center.
Lansing Shuffle is donating a $2 voucher to go toward your parking.
THERE IS A BASEBALL GAME ON FRIDAY. PARKING WILL BE AT A PREMIUM. Fortunately, that game begins at 7:05 PM. People will start arriving around 6:00 PM. We will be well underway with the 517 Day Event.
VENDOR SPACES
The patio of Lansing Shuffle is an option. Rotary Park is part of the mix as well. You can find your space by the fireplace. It would be helpful if you were one of the first to be placed in an area where you find an end place. Stay within about a 10x10 so the next vendor can fill in next to you. There are no assigned spaces.
There are no designated spaces with electrical outlets.
Pack it in Pack it out.
You must provide your own tables, 10x10 tents, chairs, backdrops, or whatever items you will need for vending during your time.
Please be prepared for Michigan Weather. Lansing Shuffle will not be able to shuffle people inside if the weather gets weird.
Promotion
There has been print, radio, online, television as well as social media promotion.
Please share the Facebook event: 517 Day Festival at Lansing Shuffle
My plea to each of the vendors. It is each person that comes to the event at the beginning should have the same experience at the end of the event as well. Yes, 3:00 - 10:00 PM is a lot of hours. Let’s try to make the experience great for everyone. Thank you for your consideration.
